I believe in and practice expository preaching. In expository preaching, the preacher teaches one passage of scripture in his sermon, going verse by verse until the truth of the passage has been explained and applied. It has been my practice as a Senior Pastor to preach through entire books of the Bible one section at a time. In the 21 years that I pastored Calvary Bible Church, I preached through numerous books of the Bible—Romans, the Gospel of John, Hebrews, and others.
